I was so excited to not only watch, but recap "Ugly Betty" this week in its first night as part of ABC's Wednesday night comedy block. I'm so glad that it is getting another chance to recapture an audience. I think if people watch, they'll see that the show rocks.

Overnight numbers showed that it didn't do well, though it beat "Eastwick's" finale ratings by 60%. I'm hoping the ratings continue to grow over the next couple weeks. My TV writer friends think I'm nuts for holding out hope, but I don't care. The show is great and deserves to be around.
